Bosch wine coolers use a compact set of codes — E1 through E6 — covering the temperature sensor, compressor, fan, and door switch. E1 (upper zone sensor) and E2 (lower zone sensor) are the most frequent, especially on dual-zone models after a power interruption.
A sensor code after an outage usually clears with a reset: unplug for 60 seconds, then restore power. If the temperature reading drifts more than 3°F from the set point after 24 hours, the sensor needs replacement.
Compressor codes (E5) are rare but serious. Wine coolers use small, sealed compressors with no field-serviceable parts — the entire unit must be pulled out for a compressor swap. Book a diagnostic with our wine cooler repair specialists. We cover all 50 US states.
