Vent hood error codes explained

Bosch vent hoods display codes less frequently than other appliances, but when they do, E1 (fan motor fault) and E2 (LED driver failure) are the most common. These units have simpler electronics — most faults trace back to the motor capacitor or the low-voltage driver board.

If the fan runs but at reduced speed, check that the grease filters are clean and the duct run isn’t obstructed. A restricted exhaust path forces the motor to work harder and can trigger thermal protection.

LED panel flickering or partial failure (E2) usually means the driver board needs replacement rather than individual LEDs. Our vent hood repair technicians carry these parts on every service call. Schedule a repair — we service all Bosch models in every US state.
